Engine 8 Urban Winery calls Nevada home and is located in downtown Sparks. Owners Mike and Wendi Rawson established Engine 8 in 2018 to pursue their dream of business ownership in the heart of their hometown. Both born in Nevada and raised in Sparks, it was an easy decision to honor their state and city by choosing a name and brand that pays tribute to the Reno/Sparks area and Northern Nevada’s proud heritage. Open 7 days a week, the Rawsons welcome you, your friends, and family to enjoy wine tasting by the flight, by the glass, or by the bottle in a relaxing atmosphere. Engine 8 also offers the best gourmet meat and cheese platters to complement your wine tasting experience.

Our name “Unleashed” comes from our love of dogs who have the unique ability to enjoy life’s little pleasures, all people and beings. Our founder, Nicole Erickson, worked with dogs her whole life and practiced as an animal care technician for many years. While she may have thought she was destined to become a vet, her travels and experiences with wine fueled another passion. When Nicole decided to finally move back to her Montana home, she couldn’t ignore the calling to create a space where others could unleash and enjoy.
We want you to feel comfortable, catered to, and relaxed. We want you to enjoy your time and make it whatever you need it to be.

We provide an excellent selection of wines with something for everyone. Whether you are new to this wine drinking thing or you are an experienced wine-o, we have something for you!
